2008 was a big year for Thomas where he continued to
flourish at half back, also had a spell at hooker when there were changes off
the bench. Has the ability to open up defences with his elusive running and is a
big hitter in defence. Was a World Cup winner with New Zealand as the Kiwis
defeated Australia in the Final back in November.
Scored 12 tries in 32 appearances for the Warriors in 2008, missed just one game
while away on International duty for the Kiwis in the one off mid-season test in
Australia.
Combined well with Trent Barrett in 2008 and will be looking to cement a good
partnership with Tim Smith in 2009.
Joined Wigan from Harlequins at the end of the 2006 season.
Thomas became the second youngest player to be selected by the Kiwis at the age
of just 18 years 118 days.
Thomas is the son of former Kiwi and Hull star James Leuluai and the cousin of
Leeds prop Kylie.
