Paul was another of the young squad members who
committed their long term future to the Club in 2008 by agreeing a new contract.
Paul has agreed terms until the end of 2011.
A back injury picked up in June which then reoccurred meant Paul played in just
one game in the final 13 games of the season; the injury also ruled him out of a
certain Ireland World Cup place.
Paul broke into the first team ranks in 2005 and gained first team experience on
loan in 2006 at National League One club Leigh Centurions
In 2007, he really established himself within the first team squad, although
mostly off the bench and was involved in 27 games scoring one try. Paul also
played for Ireland in 2007 for their World Cup qualification game against the
Lebanon.
A talented robust hard working player who is another academy product who has
progressed through the ranks of the Wigan Club.
