If you are a True Warrior, then the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation want to hear from you!

The Club's official Charity is challenging their supporters, the most loyal fans in the game, to raise £75,000 before the start of next season.

They are looking for 100 fans to each raise £750 for the Warriors Foundation (reg. Charity no. 1129008) before January 31st 2011. In return for their efforts and kind donations, Wigan Warriors will offer each supporter a free East Stand* season ticket for the 2011 season.

Wigan Warriors Community Foundation Manager Mike Watson said:

"We know that Warriors fans show their support for the Club week in week out during the season, but now is your opportunity to help us make a real difference to the lives of young people in the local area and communities around Wigan."

Warriors Foundation Trustee Philip Jones added:

"The Foundation provides many opportunities for young people and adults across Wigan and the North West of England and this fundraising effort will go a long way to supporting our work in 2011. We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to our loyal supporters, our ‘True Warriors', and will be very grateful to those who undertake this challenge."

There are no restrictions on how supporters can raise their £750 and the Club would like to hear about any unusual, but legal, methods. In June, Lorraine Ward leapt out of a plane over the skies of Cumbria and raised nearly £500 for the Foundation.

Supporters have between now and the 31st January 2011 to raise the £750 and can gain more information and register for a Fundraising Pack by calling the Warriors Foundation Administration Assistant Garry Telford on 01942 770437, by e-mail, or the True Warrior information flyer can be downloaded by [clicking here]

Furthermore, the fundraiser who donates the largest sum of money for the Warriors Foundation will also be treated to hospitality for 4 people in the Cherry & White Lounge prior to the Warriors opening game of the 2011 season, courtesy of the Warriors Foundation.

* The 2011 season will be located in the Red Area of the East (Boston) Stand at the DW Stadium.
