Wigan Warriors have smashed the 1,000 mark for tickets sold though the Club for the 2012 Magic Weekend.

The Warriors are in action against rivals St Helens in the showpiece fixture of the bumper weekend kicking off at 6pm on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester.

Warriors Marketing Director, Simon Collinson said,

"Wigan has always been very well represented when it comes to the Magic Weekend and this year looks all set to be the same. Our fans seem to have embraced the concept and will relish the fact that it will take place just up the road in Manchester this year.

"With the added attraction of a derby against our biggest rivals in St Helens we expect tickets to continue to sell well through the Club and are hopefully of being the best supported team inside the Etihad Stadium that weekend.

"We'd like to remind our supporters that when they purchase Magic tickets through official Warriors channels all of the revenue comes directly back to the Club, whereas any purchased through the RFL stays with the Governing Body, so we would urge our supporters to buy directly from us wherever possible."

2012 Season Ticket holders and Loyal 18 members are eligible for a 50% discount on their Magic Weekend ticket when purchasing through the Club.

Tickets are still available from the DW Stadium ticket office, via the ticket hotline on 0871 66 33 552 or online by [clicking here] (please note online sales are currently only available for Season Ticket holders).
