Wigan Warriors today reveal details of the highly anticipated BIG ONE 4, which will see Wigan clash with Hull FC at the DW Stadium on Friday 3rd August.

The Big One has attracted unprecedented coverage in its first three years and has cemented itself as a ‘must-see' event, not only the Warriors Calendar but also the Rugby League Fixture List.

Warriors Head Coach Shaun Wane commented: "I'm really looking forward to the fourth annual Big One. We got the better of Hull earlier in the season but they are a good team under Peter Gentle and as they get players back from injury they are only going to get stronger.

"Having featured in Semi Finals, Grand Finals and Challenge Cup Finals over recent seasons, Hull FC have shown that they are a big Club both on and off the field, and I'm not surprised to see them battling it out at the top of the Stobart Super League table.

"The first three Big One events have been massive successes and players, staff and fans alike still talk about them. The effort that everyone at the Club puts into promoting the event demonstrates the scale of these games and I've no doubt that the Big One 4 could be the biggest yet!"

The Big One was first developed in 2009 when Leeds Rhinos visited the DW Stadium, a game that attracted a record 20,295 crowd and saw the Warriors run out 28-10 winners. The concept which is unique in Rugby League see's the Warriors heavily promote a key Stobart Super League fixture with Warrington Wolves clinching a 23-16 victory in front of 22,701 spectators in The Big One 2 whilst last year Wigan demolished Huddersfield Giants 46-12 with 19,196 in attendance.

The Black and White's are currently in a three-way tie for fourth spot in the Super League table, with a game in hand, despite a horrendous recent run of injuries. Current Hull and former Wigan Prop Forward Eamon O'Carroll added:

"Having been at Wigan for the first three Big One events I know first-hand how exciting these games can be. I am delighted that Hull have been selected to take part in this year's game as it shows how highly the Club are respected across the competition.

"There is no doubt we have had ups and downs this season but we are now aiming to put together a good run of performances, including spoiling Wigan's great run of form, as we continue to aim for a top four finish."

He continue, "I know first hand how passionate the supporters are at Wigan, and having moved to Hull the response you get from the Old Faithful here is incredible. They are some of the best fans in the game. I know our fans will travel in big numbers and for that reason it promises to be a fantastic game."

With the aim of attracting the first 20,000+ crowd for a Wigan versus Hull fixture in the Super League era, the first 5,000 fans to purchase a ticket will be able to do so at discounted rates, with juniors priced at just £4, concessions at £7 and adults for only £10.

These discounted tickets will be limited to 1,000 in each stand at the DW Stadium and initially will be available exclusively to 2012 Season Ticket Holders so they can take friends, family members, neighbours or work colleagues to the highly-anticipated game. There will also be a further 1,000 tickets reserved for group ticket packages. Furthermore, the first 1,000 Season Ticket Holders to purchase tickets to the game will receive a free, limited edition, Big One 4 t-shirt (RRP £14.99)*.

Marketing Director Simon Collinson said,

"We have seen record crowds for The Big One in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and we are confident that this year will follow suit, which would be another new attendance milestone for us.

"Wigan v Hull games are always ferocious and I would urge every one of our loyal band of supporters to be part of the Big One 4 and try to bring at least one person to the game with them. It will be another fantastic night of entertainment with another massive advertising campaign currently being planned."

Tickets are now on sale to 2012 Season Ticket Holders, who have until Friday 29th June to buy tickets at the discounted rate; however, these will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and once sold out all remaining match tickets will be priced at the normal match admission rates.

Tickets are available for The Big One 4: Wigan Warriors versus Hull FC from the DW Stadium Ticket Office, online by [clicking here] and via the Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552.
