Wigan Warriors return to Stobart Super League action on Monday with the visit of Widnes Vikings to the DW Stadium on Monday night, 8pm kick off.
The Warriors go into the local derby top of the table and on a 12 game unbeaten run, Widnes though did inflict a defeat on Shaun Wane's men at the Stobart Stadium back in March, 37-36 and the Warriors Head Coach has told us he is looking to put the record straight in Monday's meeting,
"We have all had a few days off, a line has been drawn, we have had some great results in some important games and we now face some more crucial games in the weeks to come starting on Monday.
"We have three fixtures before the semi-final of the Challenge Cup which is one game I am desperate to win, I don't want to limp into that game, I want to go into that game in a good frame of mind. At the moment we are playing really well in our attack and in our defence."
On the loss against Denis Betts side, Shaun said,
"Widnes well deserved their win earlier in the season, we weren't at our best that day. The players have already spoke about it, we are keen for revenge from that loss that really hurt us. The one thing we have here is a team of mentally tough people and we have spoken about what happened to us that day and we want to fix it up. If we perform well and we are mentally there then we will do OK .
"Widnes are a Super League team who are well coached, Denis Betts is doing his very best with the players he has got and they are a threat, they can play and score tries."
