Leeds and Wigan are both appearing in a shared-record 44th Challenge Cup Semi-Final. Wigan have won 30 and lost 13 of their previous semi-finals, whilst Leeds have won 22 and lost 21 (a record) of their previous semi-finals.

Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the sides at the last four stage since 1968, when Leeds emerged victorious, 25-4 at Swinton. The head-to-head record in semi-finals between the sides is level, with two wins each.

Leeds have not defeated Wigan in the last six meetings between the sides, having lost five and drawn one. The Rhinos last win over the Warriors was 27-26 in the Super League play-offs, at the DW Stadium on 12 September, 2010.
