Wigan Warriors ran out 40-16 winners at the DW Stadium on Friday night in an eight try display to consolidate their position at the top of the Super League table.

Epalahame Lauaki and Sam Tomkins grabbed a brace apiece but the main concern post match was about Darrell Goulding who was stretchered off after a long break in play in the first half. Speaking post match Head Coach Shaun Wane revealed thankfully the centre was OK,

"He's OK, he's walking about, he just has concussion. He is looking a bit pale but he is fine. He was unconcious for a couple of minutes and he has a couple of bent teeth, we will see how he is this week."

On the performance, Shaun added,

"It was scratchy, they pulled a few players out and the new players they put in wanted to prove a point to Ian Millward. In parts we looked good in parts we didn't.

"I don't think going 16-0 up so quickly helped our cause, we scored the tries so easy, that's a mental thing we need to look at.

"I thought all our middle unit ran hard, all of them, Ben Flower, Hame, Lee Mossop, Jeff Lima, all did well, I just don't think we were at our clinical best. Hame's tries weren't long ones but he took them well, he is pleased with them. His form has been good and he is getting better and better, he is also a good bloke off the field and fits in well with us."
