The Stroke Association and Wigan Warriors will be offering free blood pressure checks on the concourses in the South, West and East Stands at Monday's home game against the Salford City Reds and will be handing out information to raise awareness of the symptoms.
The Stroke Association told us,
"Thousands of people are completely unaware of their own blood pressure levels, and a lot of people we test are shocked to hear their blood pressure is high. It's a quick, free and a painless way to find out if you are at risk."
The team will also be making sure that people know about the ‘FAST' test. Facial, Arm weakness and Speech problems. If you see someone experiencing any of these, it's Time to call 999. The faster the response the better chance of recovery.
The Stroke Association is a charity which believes in life after stroke.
