Super League's Top Try scorer and Joint Club top try scorer with Sam, Winger Josh Charnley has Squad number 2 while talented Centre partner Darrell Goulding retains his number 3 shirt. Highly rated Jack Hughes who has impressed both for the Club and England Knights, has been promoted up the list to shirt number 4. Jack is one of the games rising stars and has the versatility to play both in the Second Row and in the Centres as he proved on a number of occasions last season.

Elsewhere new Stand Off signing Blake Green (pictured) has been given squad number 6 and Matty Smith who joined Wigan from Salford City Reds last July, has received squad number 7 in a new look Half Back partnership.

In the forwards Epalahame Lauaki has been promoted from squad number 21 to number 8 after a good first season with the Club while talented young Second Rower Liam Farrell moves from 16 to squad number 12 for 2013 in recognition of a great year. Fellow England International Gareth Hock is given number 14 whilst Wigan Warriors other close season signing from Hull KR, prop Scott Taylor will wear shirt 21. Other young players will be given First Team squad numbers by Head Coach Shaun Wane if and when required and earned as the season progresses.

Speaking about the 2013 Squad Numbers, Wigan Warriors Chairman, Ian Lenagan said:

"We are delighted to announce our Squad List for the 2013 season and once again there is a strong emphasis on Wigan-Trained Players in our top 25 squad. The Wigan Club has a great reputation for producing and nurturing our own young talent and 16 of the 25 have progressed through our successful Academy and Reserve teams. We have so many exciting players in our squad and are looking forward to our young stars continuing to learn and improve in what will be another very competitive Super League competition."

Head Coach, Shaun Wane added:

"Squad Numbers are always eagerly awaited by the supporters. I base them on performance from the previous Season together with the potential the Coaching Staff see in the individuals for the year ahead. Squad Numbers do not guarantee places in the Team and the players know that they need to work hard to earn their places in the Team for 2013. I am very pleased with how our squad looks as we look to build on my first year in charge. The hard work begins now with the start of pre-season."
