A great season for Michael as he again proved his superb qualities in both defence and attack and played a pivotal role in the Club's successes in both the Challenge Cup and Grand Final capping the campaign as he crossed for a try at Old Trafford. He was also rewarded with a place in the England World Cup squad.
He is one of the game's best number nines with exceptional skill from dummy half, is always 100% committed and his enthusiasm to succeed makes him a stand out player.
Michael agreed a new four year contract with the Club in 2011 which will keep him at the DW Stadium until November 2016.
He has been with the Club from a very young age and has progressed through the Academy and Reserve Grades before making his First Team debut back in 2007.
Is highly rated by his fellow professionals and is certain to be key once more for Wigan in 2014.
