A tired Wigan Warriors were defeated 40-24 by Catalans Dragons in France on Easter Monday.
The Dragons scored after just two minutes through a soft Pelo try but the Warriors responded with tries for Amos Roberts and Shaun Ainscough and Martin Gleeson who scored his first try in Wigan colours.
The introduction of Ferriol gave the French team new impetus and laid the platform for tries to Mounis, Ryles and Bird which helped them to establish a 24-14 half time lead.
The Warriors contained Catalans for 20 minutes in the second half before the riggors of the St Helens match took their toll and the Dragons ran in further tries from Ryles with his second and two from full back Clint Greenshields.
Sam Tomkins and Pat Richards scored consolation tries for Wigan but Richards' missed conversion from under the posts summed up the Warriors night.
