Wane Wary Of Leeds Threat

Wigan head to Leeds on Friday night as the Warriors look to consolidate their position at the top of the Stobart Super League, the game at Headingley-Carnegie has an 8pm kick off.

The Warriors will be without a host of players through injury and suspensions but Head Coach Shaun Wane has every faith in the squad he has selected to be able to go to Leeds and do a job,

"It's upto some of our 20's players to stand up and be counted, no matter what the team is we will have a go and be competitive and Leeds will know they are in a game.

"Leeds are a good team, they have two fantastic halves, I am a big fan of Kevin Sinfield, they are a quality outfit and where they stand in the competition is not typically where they are at, they are better than their position in the comp.

On taking his team to the World Club Champions, Shaun added,

"I like going to Headingley, it's a great place to play and a good atmosphere. I like Brian McDermott he is a quality coach, Leeds are an all round good club. I am just really excited that taking my team there, it gives me an idea of where the likes of Dom Crosby are at, Rhodri Lloyd and Logan Tomkins may get a shot on the bench so I have loads of different opportunities which way I can go. We were under the pump with players missing when we went to St Helens at Easter and we won and I am convinced if we play like we can we are more than capable of getting the two points.

On the run of winning results, Shaun added,

"We have come through a very tough period of games so far and have done really well, the players have done a great job and we need to continue that at Leeds on Friday then at Catalans before we have a bit of a break. We are going to Leeds to win the game, there is no doubt about that, we will play tough and attack the best way we can."
