With Shaun Wane set to take charge of his 150th game as Head Coach we look at the stats around the famous position.

Having led the side since his first game against Huddersfield on 5th February, 2012, Shaun Wane is the longest serving Wigan Coach of the Super League era.

His current total of 1,545 days at the helm surpasses the previous record of 1,261 held by Brian Noble.

Just six coaches have led the club for longer over one continuous period with Joe Egan (1,730 days), Eric Ashton (3,459 days), Tommy McCarthy (4,999 days), Jim Sullivan (7,155 days) and Jack Hesketh (8,526) the group that make up the top five.

Wane is seventh on the list of coaches over more than one spell with John Monie jumping up to fifth having led Wigan for 1,834 days over two spells from 1989-93 and again from 1998-99.

As for Shaun Wane’s personal record, of the 149 games he has coached the Wigan team in, Wigan have won 102 games, drawn 3 and lost 44. Wigan have scored 4,523 points at an average of 30.36 per game and conceded 2443 points at an average of 16.40 per game.

Whilst at the Wigan Club, Wane has coached the Wigan first team to success in the Grand Final, Challenge Cup and League Leaders shield as well as the Under 18s Grand Final and Reserves Grand Final (twice). As Assistant to the First Team Wane also helped lead the team to the 2010 Grand Final and 2011 Challenge Cup.
