  • Josh Charnley ready for final Wigan appearance at the DW Stadium

  • Wigan winger to set to leave at the end of the season

  • Charnley hopes tomorrow’s game isn’t his last for the Club

This week Wigan Warriors winger Josh Charnley spoke exclusively to Wigan TV ahead of his final game at the DW Stadium.

The Academy product has made the DW his second home after making his debut in 2010 scoring 163 tries in 171 appearances for the Cherry and Whites.

Wigan face Hull FC in the play-off semi final. Charnley knows it is his last game at the DW but doesn’t want it to be his last for the Warrriors.

“I don’t want the semi-final to be my last game with this club and I want to be at the Grand Final so I am going to give it my all.” he said.

The England star admitted that it still hasn’t sunk in that it will be his last home game on Friday, he said: “I will probably start to actually feel like it is my last game at home when I arrive in the changing rooms.

“I usually try to get to the ground about an hour and a half before everyone else just to try and relax.

“I will be sat in the changing rooms reflecting on my career here at Wigan and I have been here nine years now so it is going to be hard to leave but I want people to remember me in a good light so I am going to go out there and do my best.”
