Wigan are always one of the best supported teams at the Magic Weekend and the team certainly love to play on the back of it.
The Cherry and Whites have lost just twice in ten years of the Magic Weekend and are unbeaten in eight having won seven and drawn one.
The 2017 event returns to St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United and Wigan fans will undoubtedly turn out in force once again as Wigan face Warrington in a repeat of the 2016 Grand Final.
One of the hottest properties in the game, Joe Burgess is back and determined to pick up where he left off with Wigan in 2017.
The 22-year-old England international spent 2016 Down Under with Sydney Roosters and then South Sydney Rabbitohs before deciding to head back to Wigan.
In his previous three years in the Wigan First Team he crossed for 52 tries in 58 games including tries in the 2014 and 2015 Grand Finals. Here’s to many more Joe Burgess tries in 2017 and beyond!
The annual Fan Day will return in 2017 whilst the Players’ BBQ was a huge success in 2016 and will also be repeated during the summer.
The Club are also looking to host a big fan event early in 2017 to celebrate last year’s success and get ready for the new season in fine style. Watch this space!
