Warriors to conduct research based on female fans
Super League Champions link up with Manchester Metropolitan University to conduct study
- Club invite female fans to take part in focus groups
Wigan Warriors are looking for female fans to take part in research focus groups to discuss about their experiences with the club.
The purpose of the study is to understand how Wigan Warriors could better attract new female fans and what the club could do better in order to retain existing female fans.
The research will be conducted by Manchester Metropolitan University Postgrad student Anni Vase, in conjunction with the Super League Champions.
Speaking about the research, Anni commented,
“We would like to hear your thoughts and experiences; What is working and what is not? How can Wigan Warriors improve things from a female perspective?
“We are looking for both, regular game goers as well as people who have only attended a game or two. The participants should be over 18 years old.”
Willing participants must be able to attend one focus group on one of the following days:
Thursday 29th of June (evening)
Saturday 1st of July (afternoon)
- Sunday 2nd of July (afternoon, before Widnes home fixture)
The specific times will be confirmed later. The focus groups will be held in the DW Stadium and should last no longer than one and a half hours, and light refreshments will be provided.
All participants will receive a free ticket to a Wigan Warriors home game or a free stadium tour in return for their participation.
If you would like to take part in the focus group, please click HERE to email Anni being sure to include your full name, age and preferred date. More background information will be sent to those confirming attendance and all feedback will remain confidential.
