Six Wigan players have been named in England Youth’s 19-man squad to play Wales Under-16s on Saturday, September 2nd kick off 2.30pm.

Bradley O’Neill, Dean Beddall, Ellis Longstaff, Harry Rushton, Jack Bibby and Umlya Hanley have all been called up.

Picked by head coach Danny Wilson and assistant Alan Hunte, the squad will go into camp on Thursday, August 31 as they prepare to take on Wales at Cardiff Met University.

Warriors Scholarship Manager, Steve McCormack, said:

“We are immensely proud of the lads who have been selected!

“The players should be very proud. Their call-ups are also testament to all of the hard work of their schools, community clubs and the Wigan scholarship staff and volunteers.

“We look forward to seeing them develop further over the next year, both at Wigan and with England.”
