ANZ Set for NRL Grand Final

  • ANZ Stadium set to host NRL Grand Final

  • Final rugby league game at ANZ Stadium before International Double Header

  • Wigan to face South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium in February

ANZ Stadium will play host to the NRL Grand Final on Sunday, the final Rugby League game at the historic stadium ahead of the International Double Header in February.

Having won their first Premiership just two years ago North Queensland Cowboys are looking to complete another great fairy tale. Without legendary captain Johnathan Thurston owing to a shoulder injury the Cowboys scrapped into the finals in eighth place.

Since then the Townsville outfit have seen off Cronulla Sharks 15-14, followed by Parramatta Eels 24-16 with Sydney Roosters their latest victims last weekend 29-16.

In contrast, Melbourne finished top of the ladder giving themselves a simpler route to the final seeing off Parramatta 18-16 in their qualifying final before beating Brisbane Broncos 30-0 last weekend.

Who will lift the Provan-Summons Trophy and claim ultimate glory?

Wigan head to ANZ Stadium in 2018 when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs in an international double header with Hull FC also set to face St George Illawarra Dragons.
