Warriors Fan Day 2018 to take place at Robin Park Arena on Saturday 23rd June
Day to start with Junior RL Festival at 10:30am with the Royal Navy facing GB Teachers at 2:00pm
- Host of activities for all of the family to enjoy at new venue
Wigan Warriors’ Fan Day is back for 2018 and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever before!
Always popular with the Cherry and White army, the event provides a unique opportunity for fans to interact with players and meet their heroes up close whilst enjoying a variety of games and activities.
Fan Day 2018 will take place at Robin Park Arena on Saturday 23rd June from 10:30am.
The eagerly anticipated event will start with an Under-8s/Under-9s Junior Rugby League Festival which will include teams from across the country and provide an opportunity for the club to celebrate the importance of junior rugby league. For more information or to book your place please contact Amanda Wilkinson – details at the end of this story.
Upon conclusion of the junior festival the entire men’s and women’s first team squads will arrive and be in attendance to meet supporters, sign autographs and take photos.
In addition to this exclusive opportunity to have unlimited access to players, there will also be a wide range of activities for all the family including rugby league inflatables, live music, a mini fun fair, food and drink and much much more!
The day will also feature a headline game between the Royal Navy and Great Britain Teachers rugby league teams which will kick off at 2:00pm and offer a fitting conclusion to the event.
Wigan Warriors Marketing and Sales Executive Amanda Wilkinson commented:
“Building on the huge success of previous Fan Days, we are looking forward to welcoming supporters to the new venue at Robin Park Arena for what promises to be another extremely enjoyable and exciting event.
“Whilst the training ground at Orrell has been a great home to Fan Day, with the number of fans attending it was felt that we had outgrown the venue slightly. Robin Park Arena allows us the chance to grow Fan Day and see it become even bigger and better and I’m sure this year’s event will be the best yet.
“Fanday allow us as a club to give something back to fans and thank them for their immense support throughout the season.
“With plenty of fun and games planned, it’s a great opportunity for supporters to meet their heroes whilst also supporting junior players and both the Navy and GB Teachers in their historic match.”
The 2018 Wigan Warriors family fun day will cost just £5 for adults, £3 for children, and is completely free for season ticket holders. Please book your tickets in advance online HERE or via the DW Stadium Ticket Office.
