GB Squad Includes Five From Wigan

Great Britain Head Coach Brian Noble today (Tuesday) confirmed a 40-man squad of players who will be involved in preparations for this autumn’s Gillette Tri-Nations Tournament against Australia and New Zealand.

Current St Helens skipper Paul Sculthorpe has been named as new Great Britain captain, with Bradford Bulls forward Jamie Peacock named as vice-captain.

Ten players from reigning engage Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos have been named in the squad, including club captain Kevin Sinfield who missed out on Lions selection in 2004.

There are nine players from St Helens included in the selection, seven from Bradford Bulls, five from Wigan Warriors, four from Hull FC plus players from Warrington Wolves, Salford City Reds and Australian side Sydney Roosters – who are represented by powerhouse forward Adrian Morley.
