Leigh Sports Village Important Information

Wigan Warriors travel to Leigh on Sunday for the official opening of the Leigh Sports Village, and the Centurions have provided some important information about the match.

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets are now on sale from the JJB Stadium Ticket Office and Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552. Tickets are priced as follows for the South Stand (reserved seating):

• Adults: £14.00
• Over 60’s: £7.00
• Under 16’s: £7.00
• Students: £7.00

Please note that it is reserved seating in the South Stand and as such supporters are asked that they purchase all required tickets in a single transaction in order to ensure that they all of their seats are situated together.

Tickets for this prestigious local derby fixture are in high demand and supporters are advised to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

BUSES

LSV have organised for two buses to run from the JJB Stadium to Leigh Sports Village on Sunday. The buses will leave the JJB Stadium at 1.00pm and will arrive at Leigh Sports Village for 2.00pm The routes are as follows:

BUS 1

• Travelling down Warrington Road
• STOP 1 JJB STADIUM
• STOP 2 PLATT BRIDGE OUTSIDE NETTO
• STOP 3 BICKERSHAW BOLTON HOUSE ROAD
• STOP 4 WIGAN ROAD OUTSIDE THE ROYAL OAK PUB
• STOP 5 LEIGH SPORTS VILLAGE

BUS 2

• Travelling down Darlington Street
• STOP 1 FOX PUB
• STOP 2 HINDLEY COUNCIL OFFICES
• STOP 3 ATHERTON ROAD DANGEROUS CORNER (NEAR PETROL STATION)
• STOP 4 WESTLEIGH OPPOSITE WESTLEIGH HIGH SCHOOL
• STOP 5 LEIGH SPORTS VILLAGE

The return journey will call at the same stops and the fare will be £3 RETURN payable on the bus.

Leigh Sports Village Company advise people to use public and private transport because of limited parking around the stadium.

DIRECTIONS

FROM A580

• Continue on A580 (East Lancashire Road)
• Turn at traffic lights A579(A572) (signposted Pennington Flash) onto Atherleigh Way
• Continue through traffic lights to small roundabout Leigh Sports Village is situated on the right.

Please note that parking around the Leigh Sports Village is very limited. Please do not park on the near by retail park as you may be clamped and take note of local parking restrictions.

1 - Leigh East Pavilion

Leigh East Pavilion comprises of a large bar and function room, a smaller members' lounge and excellent changing facilities.

2 - Athletics Track & Indoor Sprinting Facility

This area consists of a 400 metre sythentic running track and a covered sprinting and jumping facility, club house for Leigh Harriers and changing facilities as well as field sports and throwing practice areas.

3 - Floodlit Grass & Artificial Pitches

Two full size grass pitches and two full size third generation artificial pitches which are available for hire by individuals and clubs for a whole host of sporting and recreational activities.

4 - 10,000 Seat Stadium

This multi-million pound, innovative stadium will be the new home for Leigh Centurions and Leigh Genesis. As well as providing a fantastic new home for these local clubs there is a multitude of of state of the art hospitality facilities with possibility of outdoor concerts at the stadium and high quality office areas.

5 - Leisure, Retail, Hotel and High Tech Offices

High quality commercial offices, sports related leisure, fitness and specialist retail, including a cinema, bowling alley, health and fitness centre, restaurants, bars and a four star 150 bedroom hotel.

6 - Leigh Indoor Sports Centre

Leigh Indoor Sports Centre contains some of the finest indoor facilities in the Borough, catering for a wide range of activities to suit all ages and abilities. These include: Aqua Life - swimming for all, a Profiles Health and Fitness Suite, sports hall, multi-purpose halls and aerobic studio.

7 - Leigh Sixth Form College
