One of the noticeable features from the recent run out at Leigh, other than the return of Sean O'Loughlin after 10 months on the sidelines, was the new additions and the sheer size in the forwards. The likes of Feka Paleaaesina and Scott Logan as well as some of the other lads who look to have been working hard in the gym in the close season.
Speaking at the recent club media day Iafeta Paleaaesina admitted the pack has some power potential for 2006,
"It is a big looking squad with the likes of Scott Logan, Bryan Fletcher ,even Pat Richards and you can add my name to that too.e also have the likes of Bryan Fletcher and Gareth Hock to come back so things are looking good.
"The forwards can do some ballwork as well and play some footy so it's not just about size and strength, that is important."
Feka has also been impressed with the attitudes of some of the younger guys as well,
"The Gleesons, the Prescotts, there are some good guys coming through and the young guys are the key to our success. We look to have a good mixture of players and with the experience as well to lead the way things are looking good."
And on his own ambitions for the season ahead he added,
"It's just to play well, the club have been great to me and the way I can pay them back is to play some great footy and that is something I am looking to do. I like the town of Wigan and the people and I have settled in really well."
