Warriors Unveil October Rugby Camp

Following the sell-out success of Wigan Warriors Summer Camps and the launch of the Wigan Warriors lesson for life project, the club are delighted to announce the details of a brand new half term coaching camp.

The camp will take place in the October Half Term from Tuesday 24th October – Thursday 26th October and will run from 10am -1pm each day.

The Warriors, in partnership with the local authority, Tesco and Sportsmatch, will be delivering the rugby camp at Ashton Leisure Centre, with the camp open to young people within the age range of 6-12 years old. The camp will consist of three days coaching that will introduce the fundamentals of Rugby League using basic skill drills and lots of new fun and exciting games. Additionally each participant will receive a certificate, medal and Wigan Warriors gift.

Warriors’ Community Development Manager John Winder said:

“The camps will be a great way to take part in Rugby League in a fun and safe environment and will offer a fantastic opportunity for young people to learn the game whilst making new friends. They will be delivered by the Warriors community coaching team and will be equally suited to both beginners and club players”.

Places on the camp are limited, and these are now available priced at £12 per child or a £20 family price for 2 children. These can be booked through the Wigan Sports Development Unit on 01942 404982. Application forms can be downloaded by [clicking here].
