Car Parking Changes at the JJB Stadium

Wigan Warriors would like to inform fans that for the forthcoming season there will be changes to parking procedures at the JJB Stadium, starting with the match against Warrington Wolves on Friday 9th February.

In 2007 the Warriors will fall in line with other matches at the JJB Stadium and some parking charges will apply.

Supporters using Car Park 1 (on Stadium Way) and Car Park 3 (behind the East Stand) will be required to pay £4 upon entry to the car park, although a parking season ticket can still be purchased for the discounted rate of £35 on Car Park 3. This covers parking at all Super League and Challenge Cup games at the stadium and these are available from the JJB Stadium Ticket Office and the Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-552 on a first come first served basis.

Car Park 4 which is accessed via Frith Street off Saddle Junction, next to B&Q, will remain free however it is expected that this will fill up early and will be closed approximately one hour before kick off for access and safety reasons.

The JJB Stadium management have spent a significant six-figure sum to improve the parking facilities at the venue and Car Park 3 has recently been tarmaced while added security features have been implemented.

While this will be the first time charges will be applied to parking at Warriors matches, the new charges are in line with the costs of parking at most other Rugby League and sports grounds.
