Eighth Wave to Perform at the JJB Stadium

Wigan face Cup Finalists Hull FC at the JJB Stadium on Friday night and the Warriors are pleased to announce that local band Eighth Wave will be performing before the game.

Eighth Wave originally formed in the autumn of 2006 with a mutual love for mainstream rock and a desire to show the world a thing or two about their infectious pop/rock sound.

They have recently performed a support slot with one of the UK’s biggest selling solo artists Lemar, and appeared at the Liverpool Echo Arena as part of the supporting act for Westlife on their UK arena tour.

To top that, the band were selected to appear on the soundtrack to a new British film called “Hotel Caledonia”. The film is set to be released worldwide and will star a number of well known British actors/actresses such as Chris Marshall (Love Actually, My Family), Billy Boyd (Lord Of The Rings) and Kelly Brook.

Eighth Wave have recently recorded their first full-length studio album with help from top producers Andy Giblin (IdefI, Slipknot, Profane) and Steve Rushton (chart topping band Son Of Dork) with a release set for early 2009. For more details [click here].
