"It's not a nice placeto be" he started, "but the stories pretty simple. We've worked hard this week, we are determined to turn around what has been a poor start for us. We've had some cleansing moments this week which has been good.
"I thought for 65 minutes at Hull that we looked like a really good team, but then we fell in a hole.
"The reason for our demise at Wakefield was purely and simply that we weren't looking after the ball enough; I thought we defended ok but we gave too much possesion away.
"What we saw last week was that once again we tried to play our way out of trouble sometime and gave the opposition some soft tries.
"We've looked at all of that and I'm sure we'll be a lot more vigorous this week.
"Last season most teams went through a patch where they lost three games; you don't like it, it's horrible. Ours is at the start (of the season) when enthusiasm is high and everybodies energies are high. Its important we have an element of soul sarching and its important that we respond.
"I'm confident that we are very determined to put our season back on track."
