Wigan Warriors second row forward Harrison Hansen has been ruled out of action for upto 3 months with a shoulder injury.
Head Coach Michael Maguire confirmed to the media today that Hansen picked up the injury in a game a couple of weeks ago and a scan had identified a tear in a muscle.
Michael told us,
"It is unfortunate for Harrison, he has got a slight tear in his bicep tendon, he needs an operation in the next day or so that will keep him out for 3 months. It's unfortunate when you get this sort of injury but we have some good young guys coming through underneath and I am looking forward to see how they perform."
Meanwhile Wigan will check on a number of players as the week progresses ahead of the Good Friday clash at St Helens. Full Back Cameron Phelps missed the game last Friday against Leeds and the Warriors will check on Mark Riddell, Michael McIlorum, Sam Tomkins and Andy Coley ahead of naming their side for Friday.
