Wigan are 80 minutes away from the 2011 Grand Final and a convincing home win last time out over Catalans has put the Warriors into a great position to finish off the campaign in style.
Saturday's showdown will be the sixth meeting between the two sides this season and Skipper Sean O'Loughlin admits this game with a place at Old Trafford at stake is as big as they come,
"This has got to be the biggest game of the season so far against St Helens for a place in the Grand Final. I think they will be in a bouyant mood having had a week off and time to rest up but coming on the back of our result against Catalans we are keen to get out there and carry that on.
"We have been to Widnes and played Saints and had a good performance so we have a few fond memories of playing there this season."
On the fact it could be the last game if defeated for Head Coach Michael Maguire and a couple of players Sean added,
"Madge and a few players are leaving at the end of the season but that's not been spoken about, we all have our own motivation, we do want to send those lads off on a high though."
Sean admitted the success against Saints in last year's Final has set the side up with confidence for these big matches as was also proved in the run to Wembley and winning the Challenge Cup,
"Going there and winning last year gave us that belief that we can win Trophies and playing in these big games like we did last year and again this season is good for us in the remaining games and hopefully it will all the way to the Grand Final again."
