Wigan's thirteen game unbeaten came to an end following a home loss to Bradford Bulls on Friday night.
It had been a week of turmoil for the Bulls following the news the Club had gone into administration but on the field they picked up the two points as the Warriors were reduced to 12 men before the hour mark with Michael McIlorum shown red by Referee Tim Roby.
Speaking post match Head Coach Shaun Wane said,
"We were beaten by the better team, I suppose,
"They wanted it a bit more. They had more of a need to win that game.
"With what happened to Micky Mac and losing Darrell Goulding, the changes we made beforehand, losing Sam, I knew it was never going to be an easy game.
"We needed to play well and they were in a desperate situation. Fair play to them, they played better than us.
"We weren't on our game. This is a blip and we will fix it."
Wigan were forced into more team changes with Sam ruled out, young utility back Jack Murphy with a try on his first team debut, Wane added,
"He did well for his try, I'm just gutted we didn't get a win for him on his debut,"
