Today marks the second anniversary of the untimely death of former Wigan hooker Terry Newton.
A talented number nine, Terry made185 appearances for the Wigan Club betweeen 2000 and 2005 scoring 74 tries.
Partly in response to the issues raised by Terry's death, the RFL created the State of Mind campaign to help all of us think more about those suffering from mental illness. If you would like more information about the campaign and how you can use the tips and help available go to www.stateofmindrugby.com
Our thoughts and well wishes are with Terry's family and friends at this time as they remember a man who gave his all for whichever team he played for whether that was Leeds, Wigan, Bradford, Wakefield or Great Britain and loved the game of Rugby League. Terry Newton RIP.
