Title sponsor First Utility has today revealed the nominations for the Official First Utility Super League Player of the Month competition for July, which lets fans vote for the league’s most outstanding players.
Young Wigan back-rower John Bateman makes the shortlist, after posting three 100m+ games helping his side overcome the league leaders Rhinos, Widnes Vikings and Hull FC. His try against the Airlie Birds on the final day of the regular season punctuated what’s been a strong season for the former Bradford Bulls man.

Each fan who votes will go into a prize draw with one lucky supporter getting the chance to present the First Utility Super League Player of the Month trophy to the winning player. The two players with the most votes will then be considered by a judging panel consisting of representatives from First Utility & League Weekly, where an overall winner will be revealed.
The July First Utility Super League Player of the Month shortlist is as follows:

• Chris Hill (Warrington Wolves)
Fans have until 2pm on Thursday 30th July to register their votes for the July First Utility Super League Player of the Month award.
