Manly World Club Challenge celebration dinner
Past Players Association to host dinner at the DW Stadium on Saturday 15 July
- Tickets available for just £30 per person
The Wigan Rugby League Club Past Players Association will celebrate the Club’s famous World Club Challenge win over Manly with a dinner at the DW Stadium on Saturday 15 July.
The Cherry and Whites became the first team in Rugby League to win four World Club Challenges this year and were the first ever World Club Champions with victory in the inaugural game against the Sydney giants back in 1987.
An all-English team led by coach Graham Lowe took on and beat Manly in a compelling game. No tries were scored but that made it all the more compelling for the 36,895 fans in attendance at Central Park.
30 years on from one of the Club’s finest hours the group will host a two-course dinner at the stadium for fans and players alike to reminisce.
Tickets for this great event are on sale from the Past Players Association and cost £30 per person.
