100 days to go until 2018 NSW Tour
Warriors face Hull FC at WIN Stadium in 100 days’ time
- Wigan to play in Wollongong and Sydney in February 2018
Today marks 100 days to go until Wigan’s historic 2018 tour to New South Wales!
The Warriors will create history in 2018 when they become the first Super League team to host a game outside of Europe when they take on Hull FC at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday 10 February.
A week later Wigan will face South Sydney Rabbitohs and Hull take on St George Illawarra Dragons in a fascinating International Double Header at ANZ Stadium, Sydney on Saturday 17 February.
Warriors and England Skipper, Sean O’Loughlin, is currently in New South Wales with the national side and along with Hull player Scott Taylor visited WIN Stadium, Wollongong earlier this week.
“It’s a pretty impressive venue,” O’Loughlin said.
“You don’t get many games in these types of settings back home so it’s something that I think the players and fans who come over from England will really enjoy.
“It’s a great opportunity for all of us, it’s pretty special to be a part of the First Super League game outside of Europe. It’s groundbreaking and there’s been a lot of people get their heads together to put this game on. It’s going to be awesome!”
