The appointment is the first of many steps in demonstrating the club’s commitment to achieving excellence both on and off the field.

Kris Radlinski said: “We have invested a lot of time reviewing our current performance and as a result we have identified a number of key areas that we want to improve. 2018 is an exciting year for us. We are about to launch a three-year strategy that will see some of the biggest developments in the club’s history. This new and innovative role is one of many changes that we will see over the coming months and we are looking forward to seeing the results. Anthony said: “I’ve supported Wigan since I was a boy and I’m now in a really lucky position to work for a club that I love. The club have a very clear strategy where they want to go. Developing strong areas and making them even better alongside being creative with some areas that have lost the buzz a little over the last few years are key priorities. It’s great to be joining the club on this new and exciting journey and I’m looking forward to working with our fans, community clubs and all the partners that we work with. We’ll be thriving all-round.”

Members of the community and community game are invited to work with and support Anthony who can be contacted on email: a.atherton@wiganwarriors.com
