Wigan Warriors Reserves drew with Wakefield Trinity Reserves 30-30 at Robin Park Arena on Friday.

Wigan opened the scoring through Jack Higginson following a neat interchange from Woods and Marshall. Lee Kershaw struck back on ten minutes and Max Jowitt added the extras to level the scores.

Macauley Davies crashed onto a short ball from Josh Woods to nudge Wigan back in front half way through the first half before Woods added a try of his own.

Wigan’s fourth score of the afternoon was a spectacular one as Samy Kibula’s offload sparked a flowing move which culminated in Craig Mullen collecting Jack Higginson’s chip to touch down.

Wakefield reduced the deficit to 12 points on half time as Joe Arundel went over.

Half Time - 24-12

Wakefield got themselves back into the game early on in the second half as Jordan Crowther burrowed over from short range.

The visitors were dealt a double blow as Wigan extend their lead when Lewis Heckford and Liam Paisley combined to send Joe Brown over before Ackroyd was sin-binned for holding Gabe Hamlin down following a break downfield.

Trinity stayed in touch through a Myles Harrop squeezed in at the corner and Jowitt landed the extras, and then completed the comeback as Aaron York touched down a grubber with just two minutes remaining.
