The Wigan centre missed out on the 19-man squad for the second week in a row after picking up a knock in Wigan’s win over Leeds Rhinos. However, Head Coach Adrian Lam did suggest earlier this week that Sarginson was close to a return.
The prop forward sustained a back injury away to Hull KR at the start of June. This week Head Coach Adrian Lam provided an update on the player’s recovery, suggesting he could be available for selection in four weeks time.
The 32 year-old, who recently signed a two-year contract extension with Wigan, left the field of play with a bruised knee versus Huddersfield last Friday. However, Adrian Lam gave clarity on his condition: “We could have put him back on, but we thought it was best to keep him off and play the younger ones for more minutes. It just gave them more experience.”
Clubb has since been named in the 19-man squad to face Salford Red Devils on Friday 28th June. See the full squad news HERE.
