Wigan Warriors have boxed-off a busy week at Robin Park Arena in which they have hosted over 500 children from all over the country.
As part of the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation’s February half-term Rugby Camps and Development Days, Robin Park Arena opened its doors to children from the local community and to those from around the country with attendees arriving at the Club’s state-of-the-art facility as far away as Carlisle, Loughborough and Hemel Hempstead.
A mixture of ages, girls and boys and abilities visited Wigan’s training base where they rubbed shoulders with Adrian Lam’s first team squad who were preparing for Sunday’s Betfred Super League clash against Hull FC.
Community Foundation Manager, Mike Wearden: “This week has been a huge success for our Rugby Camps and Development days and I’d like to pay tribute to our volunteers who without them, we couldn’t put on these type of initiatives.
“Being at our Robin Park Arena facility, where the kids get to see the likes of Jackson Hastings, Bevan French, Sean O’Loughlin, Liam Farrell etc train is an inspiring experience and the feedback we’ve received from children and their parents has been overwhelmingly positive.”
